They were also offered a sanctioned showcase slot at South By Southwest. Campus Activities Magazine Reader’s Choice Award - (12/20/07) porterdavis was nominated for Best Small Venue Performer in the Campus Activities Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards. Austin Yam Jam Sept. 30th - (9/19/07) The Austin Yam Jam is an annual music festival, held at Threadgill's South, that brings some of Austin's best musicians together with Operation Turkey - a non-profit that feeds and clothes the homeless - to raise awareness, volunteers and donations. 100% of each admission goes directly toward feeding and clothing the homeless. porterdavis will be performing along with Ruthie Foster, Bruce Robison, Carolyn Wonderland, Patrice Pike and others... Showcasing at NACA Central - (8/15/07) porterdavis has been selected out of hundreds of acts to showcase at the NACA (National Association for Campus Activities) regional conference to be hosted in Little Rock, AR in October. "Live at Eddie's Attic" Reviewed in Blues Revue - (7/28/07) Blues Revue, a nationally recognized opinion labels porterdavis as "Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson filtered through a non-blues sensibility... tailor-made for the jam-band circuit." ROT Biker Rally - (5/8/07) porterdavis will be performing at the Republic of Texas Biker Rally, opening the show for Classic Rock superstars, Grand Funk Railroad and The Guess Who! Kerrville Folk Festival "New Folk" Finalists - (4/17/07) porterdavis has been selected as on of the finalists out of 800 submissions for Kerrville Folk Festival's New Folk competition. porterdavis will be performing on the Threadgill Theater stage on Saturday, May 26th at 1:00pm.
